Terms of Service

Welcome to Koracle (the "Service", operated at koracle.app — including K-Saju at saju.koracle.app and our K-pop compatibility readings). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Koracle offers digital reading products. From the birth information you submit we compute a traditional Korean four-pillars (사주) chart and deliver a written cultural reading — for K-Saju and saju compatibility as a downloadable PDF, and for K-pop idol and group compatibility as an on-screen reading. Some readings are unlocked using a prepaid credit balance (see Section 3).

2. Eligibility & account

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to purchase. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit at checkout. The Service does not require account registration; each purchase is identified by the email address provided.

3. Orders & payment

Submitting birth details and payment is an offer to purchase. Payment is processed by our payment provider (currently one of Dodo Payments, Payhip, or Lemon Squeezy — see our Privacy Policy for the active processor) and is subject to that provider's terms. We may refuse, cancel, or limit any order at our discretion (e.g. fraud, payment failure, prohibited region). Prices and discounts are subject to change without notice; the price displayed at the moment of purchase is the price you pay. Some products are unlocked with a prepaid credit balance instead of a one-off purchase: credits are sold in one-time packs (no subscription), do not expire, and each reading you unlock spends credits. Credit purchases and unlocked readings are governed by our Refund Policy.

4. Delivery

K-Saju is a digital service. There is no physical shipment. After successful payment, your reading is generated and delivered to the email address you provided as a PDF attachment, typically within 5 minutes. The same PDF can be re-downloaded via the link in the email for 7 days.

5. Cultural content — not prediction, not advice

The reading is a cultural interpretation of traditional Korean four-pillars (saju) intended for self-reflection and entertainment. It is not a prediction of future events. It is not medical, legal, financial, psychological, or therapeutic advice. We make no warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose. Use it as a mirror, not a script. Our K-pop compatibility readings are fan entertainment based on the four-pillars chart of publicly available birth dates; they do not describe the real personality, private life, or any actual relationship of the idol, artist, or group, and are not a statement of fact about them. Koracle is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any idol, artist, agency, or label; all names and marks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the public figure for entertainment.

6. License

You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to read, save, and re-download your own report for personal, non-commercial use. You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or publicly republish the report — or any substantial excerpt — without our prior written permission.

7. Refunds

See our Refund Policy. EU/UK customers retain the 14-day statutory cooling-off period; see the Refund Policy for how the digital nature of the product interacts with that right.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including the saju calculation engine, the reading templates, the prompt designs, the brand "K-Saju" / "Koracle", and all content on the site, is owned by Koracle and its licensors and protected by Korean and international intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, decompile, reverse-engineer, or use the Service to build a competing product.

9. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

• Submit a private individual's birth details, or impersonate them, without their consent — entering a public figure's publicly available birth date for an entertainment compatibility reading is permitted
• Probe, scan, or attempt to bypass our security or rate limits
• Use automated means to extract content beyond your own report
• Resell readings or repackage them as a competing service
• Engage in fraudulent payment or chargeback abuse

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party processors (payment: Dodo Payments, Payhip, or Lemon Squeezy; email: Resend; database/storage: Supabase; hosting: Vercel; job queue: Inngest; AI generation: OpenAI and/or Anthropic; ad measurement: Meta and TikTok). Those providers operate under their own terms and privacy practices, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions beyond our reasonable selection and oversight.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Koracle's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you actually paid for the specific reading at issue in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits or data.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify Koracle and its operators from any claim, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your violation of law, or your misuse of the Service.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for breach of these Terms or for risk to the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) will continue in effect.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be communicated via email or a banner on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The exclusive forum for disputes is the Seoul Central District Court, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise.

17. Severability & entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Koracle regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
